Originally founded in 2017, under the name Candyflaps & Sprinkles, the PRETTYHIDEOUS brand was created by an autistic Fine Art 1st Class (Hons) graduate of a London university - but was truly conceived over a decade ago, at small pop-up events and craft fairs in (very) rural England, where they sold (but more often than not, didn’t sell…) their strange and unusual creations.

When we first opened our digital doors, we couldn’t have predicted the sense of community that would grow up around our shop - kind, respectful and accepting people from a myriad style subcultures - and as a business, our aim is to not only decorate you, but to celebrate you and your individuality.

Every piece we sell is handmade by the owner, with love and care, in small batches or as one of a kind creations. We only use high quality materials, ethical and environmentally conscious practices and we endeavour to make our jewellery and accessories accessible to all - with customisation options available for skin sensitivity, stretched and non-pierced ears as well as alternate or fully adjustable sizing where applicable. All PRETTYHIDEOUS jewellery is also vegan friendly, unless otherwise stated.

Our jewellery and accessories are for EVERY BODY. We are proudly QUEER OWNED, and do not tolerate discrimination based on gender identity, sexuality, race, religion, age, size or ability - every space we occupy online is a safe space for all.

  • ALTHOUGH IT IS INCREDIBLY RARE FOR SOMETHING TO GO WRONG WITH A PRETTYHIDEOUS PRODUCT, SHOULD YOU ENCOUNTER A PROBLEM WITH YOUR ORDER PLEASE CONTACT US ON INSTAGRAM, AND WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO REACH A MUTUALLY AGREEABLE RESOLUTION WITH YOU - BE THAT IN THE FORM OF A REPLACEMENT OR A REFUND UPON RETURN OF THE ITEM/S IN QUESTION.

  • WHEN SENDING AN ITEM BACK TO US, PLEASE INCLUDE THE NAME USED TO CHECK OUT ON OUR SITE, YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLE (IF APPLICABLE) AND A RETURN ADDRESS WRITTEN CLEARLY ON PAPER WITHIN THE PARCEL.
